Some pics from Colorado

On the way up the mountain we stopped at a really cold stream.
This is the top of Mount Evans, where we drove up the highest paved road in North America. Pikes Peak is off in the distance somewhere. There were mountain goats all around.
This is Amber, Emily and me at Fancy Tiger, Amber's craft shop in Denver.

The importance of down time

I went on a wonderfully relaxing vacation to Colorado for three whole days. Got lots of rest. Came home to my weaned daughter and got to sleep all through the night, too. I expected to feel rested. But no. I was tired. Really tired, like beginning of pregnancy tired. I'm definitely not pregnant, so I wondered what the heck was up. I tried increasing my sleep to 7 hours. Still tired. So last night I said forget it. I stayed up late with Peter and watched one of our favorite shows--Kings. It's a great show. We fold laundry and watch it online. I was up until after midnight and woke up at 6:30. I feel much better now. Still tired, but better. Having some down time, even at the expense of sleep, is so refreshing.
